The Dashboard

Vehicle Summary

This card gives you four key metrics about your active fleet (all vehicles that are not archived).

• Total Vehicles: The total count of all active vehicles in your fleet.
• Operational & Allocated: These are roadworthy vehicles that currently have a driver assigned to them. They are ready for and assigned to work.
• Spare: These are roadworthy vehicles that do not have a driver assigned. They are available for allocation.
• Unavailable: This counts any vehicle with a status of 'VOR' (Vehicle Off Road) or 'Maintenance'. If any of these unavailable vehicles have a driver assigned, a small warning will appear on the card.

Warnings

This is the most critical section of the dashboard, designed to draw your immediate attention to issues that require action or acknowledgement.

Warning Types

• Vehicle VOR: Appears when a check is submitted that marks a vehicle as not roadworthy.
• Maintenance Due: Appears on the day that a scheduled maintenance job is due to start.
• New Damage Reported: Appears when a driver reports new damage during a vehicle check.
• Collision Reported: Appears when a driver submits a new collision report.
• Driver Assigned to VOR/Maintenance Vehicle: A persistent warning that appears if a driver is allocated to a vehicle that is not operational. This highlights a potential safety or operational issue.

Acknowledging Warnings

Every warning has an "Acknowledge" button. The behavior of this button depends on the warning type:

• One-Time Events (like New Damage or Collision Reports): Acknowledging the warning will hide it from your view, signifying you have seen it. This is logged for the individual user.
• Persistent Issues (like Driver Assignments or VOR status):Acknowledging the warning logs your action in the Acknowledgement Audit Trail but does not hide the warning, as the underlying issue still needs to be resolved (e.g., by reassigning the driver or changing the vehicle's status).
